Opera San Luis Obispo, like most opera companies in the United States, depends on outside support for continued growth and success. Even with a sold-out house, ticket sales recoup only 50% of the cost of producing opera. Our loyal patrons have kept us going for 26 years, and we are looking forward to celebrating our 26th anniversary with you in 2011!

Opera San Luis Obispo is a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) tax status. All donations are tax deductible. We are supported by individuals, businesses, foundations and government funding.

Over the years, we have kept our ticket prices as reasonable as possible, even as we have strived to increase our production quality. We have depended on our donors and sponsors to make up the difference between an average annual 20 percent increase in our production costs and an average annual 7 percent increase in our ticket prices.

When you make a gift to Opera San Luis Obispo, your contribution goes directly to support the performances and programs you appreciate...your support helps us share our Education and Community Outreach programs with public school students and community residents every year... and you make it possible to plan future seasons of Opera San Luis Obispo.
