Children's Opera Camp

Opera San Luis Obispo's Children's Summer Opera Camp is one of the oldest in the nation. CLICK HERE for current info. Each year day-camp occurs in late July early August: two-weeks long for kids ages 9-17. No experience is required, just a willingness to try! Camp culminates in a real children's opera production - complete with live music, sets, costumes and props. Daily activities include:

Learning correct vocal technique

Drama and stage movement

Ear training and musicianship

Part singing and choral techniques

Making props and costumes

Learning how to apply stage make-up
