Piano Donation/Sale Program
Purchase or donate a fine piano today! All proceeds benefit Opera San Luis Obispo, and donated pianos qualify for a tax deduction! To learn more about donating your fine piano, purchasing one of our pianos, or scheduling an in-person visit; call our offices at (805) 782-7342. All Opera San Luis Obispo pianos are meticulously inspected prior to being accepted. Each piano is fully cleaned, tuned, regulated, and ready for performance. Listed prices include shipping, however extra shipping costs will apply outside a 50 mile radius of purchase, and/or the presence of "steps" at the delivery location. A discount will apply if buyer arranges moving.
FREE PIANO PROGRAM: We are often offered quality older pianos which do not fit the above described fundraising resale program. In these instances, we connect people with budgets under $1500 with the owners wishing to give their pianos a new life. The piano itself is free, but the recipient is responsible for any moving costs. Pianos offered through this program typically have a market value of approximately $1000–$1500. If you would like to be added to our waiting list for one of these instruments, please email brian@operaslo.org with “FREE PIANO WAITING LIST” in the subject line. Be sure to include your name, the city where the piano would be delivered, and a mobile phone number that can receive text messages.
